Making Robots: What our team does
Making Robots: Design, Build, Programming, and Business
MECHANICAL DESIGN AND BUILD
This side focuses on the coding of the robot, the building of the robot, and any part of the robot that is made in CAD (computer aided design). We the assemble our robot using bolts, and connect all the electronics with cables.
PROGRAMMING
Our robot is programmed using Blockly (which is very similar to Scratch) and Java. Unlike Scratch, Blockly allows us to combine robot sensors and game controllers to design controls for the robot motors.

ENGINEERING PROCESS
Throughout the season we iterate on the mechanical design, repeatedly rebuild parts of the robot, and update the program. We practice and compete, and revise again and again based on what we notice could be improved.
BUSINESS
We also deal with budgets & fundraising (to help pay for our team), promotion (to find new mentors and team members), documenting our team and making presentations, and share information with our sponsors.
